Charnwood Borough Council - Update on street cleaning and bulky waste collections following flooding
The Council will start a programme of additional street cleaning in the borough for areas affected by flooding.
We are prioritising areas based on need and accessibility as some areas still have flood water.

Flooding update - Wednesday, 8 January 2025
The flooding situation in Charnwood is improving, but a number of Environment Agency flood warnings and alerts remain in place.
Flood warnings mean flooding is expected in those areas. Flood alerts mean it is possible.
The number of flood warnings has dropped from 11 yesterday evening to three at 10.30am on Wednesday, 8 January.

Charnwood Council opening times and service changes over the Christmas period
Changes to the Council's services and opening days/times over the Christmas period can be found on the Council's website.
The main council office building at Southfields will close at 1pm on Tuesday, 24 December 2024 and remain closed until 9am on Thursday, 2 January 2025.
